WF 3620

I was a fan of EPSON printers for more then a decade. I started out with an RX 200, then RX 220, then Artisan 50, then two WF 3620. That's when the trouble started. I went on vacation and we had 95 degrees in our house during this time. My HP printer survived without any trouble. The WF 3620 had a completely clogged print head. ONE print head for 4 cartridges. Unbelievable technical invention. Printer could not be repaired at a local Printer repair shop. I told them to recycle the printer because there is no other possibility in this village of El Paso-Texas to have this POS repaired. Today the second printer WF 3620 gave up. Same problems like the one before. I will never ever buy an EPSON again. Buy American. As a self employed, one needs month to gain the confidence of a customer and one loses it in a heartbeat. Review about: Epson Printer WF 3620 Model C481D SN SEDY314452.

Epson Artisan 837 feeding several pages at once

Just wanted to state the awful product support I have received. I was simply having an issue with the printer feeding multiple pages. To have to be on the phone for 30 minutes speaking to someone who hardly understands what a printer is read to me from a book is horrible support. I am in IT, and work in support. It was just totally unacceptable. So now they want me to send my printer in for repair. I am sure this is something that I cold have been walked through had I been given a chance to speak to someone who knows the product. I even was passed on to a higher level of support, and was put in the SAME EXACT situation, someone reading to me out of a book. I would never send this printer in for this problem. At this point, I plan on moving away from Epson, and will seek out another brand.

Our only Printer Down - Service technican scheduled after 10 days

My 3 months old SC P 20000, installed at my workplace in Goleta, CA USA started spewing ink all over the prints . I called in to raise a complaint ticket on the 30th December 2016 , (ticket #161230-****42). I also sent them an email showing pictures of what the printer was doing. The parts arrived on Tuesday the 3rd of Jan. When the technician didn't come to repair the printer, I called Epson. They said that the technician will call me. Another couple of days later I called them again and , they finally gave me another number to call. This was for a 3rd party agency called Decision one. After calling in the they connected my to the technician Richard who hung up saying that they tried calling me and I didn't pick up. I checked my voice and missed calls, there were none. I called again and this time I was given a tentative time of 12th December for the technician to visit me. This was unacceptable since Epson has a 24 hour service commitment as per warranty terms. I called Nick at ColorHQ, The company that sold me this printer. He asked me for a claim #, which nobody at Epson had cared to provide so far. I called in and this time asked for the claim # and forwarded that to Nick. This was Friday, 6th Jan, 2017 I got a call back from Richard the tech. saying he could come fix the machine earliest on Tuesday 10th Jan. Even after requesting to come the same day or at least the next day, he said Tuesday was the earliest. 10 days of downtime for my only large format printer has caused me several thousand dollars worth of lost business and customers. They outsource their customer service to an external agency called Decision one and have no coordination or follow up with this agency. I would advice everyone to invest in a back up printer if the only machine they have is an Epson.

Resolved: SICK of Epson printers

Update by user May 04, 2016

I called the non-toll-free phone number for Epson support. Received a non-English-as-a-first-language support employee named "John".

I had already attempted numerous times to do multiple head cleanings and nozzle checks. My Workforce All-In-One printer would not print...

XP-620 held for ransom

went to print a plain old black and white document today and the printer would not print the document unless I replaced the "photo black" cartridge. So, I called tech support and they said the printer will not function unless all four cartridges are good, period. Can't print black and white, can't print greyscale... Epsom has my printer disabled until I hop in the car, go to the store, pay a huge price for 1 ounce of ink in a plastic box, return home, genuflect and install same. It is "sales by coercion". Printer headed for the dumpster even though it is three months old.

Horrible printer.

Salesman assured me that this is the printer he'd buy for himself. I'm an American and I know nothing about these brands. Printer scans fine, and because that's what I mostly use it for, I didn't notice anything was wrong really. It was wonky and hard to deal with, but not anymore than my last printer. I HATE THIS THING. It won't copy, and when I tried to print big things, it won't let me. It keeps claiming that the papersize is wrong. I HATE, HATE, HATE this printer and I can't find my receipt and I spent too much money on this. I hope this company goes under. I've never been this angry.

The most ridiculous bizarre and frustrating problem ever

This has to be the stupidest most screwed up situation ever. I have a Japanese EPSON LP-M20. One of its "features" is that it will print and scan PDF files to, and from a memory stick. Sounds pretty standard right. But here is the rub. If I create a PDF on my PC and stick it on a memory stick, the printer tells me that it is an "unrecognised format" and wont print. It will *ONLY* print a PDF from memory stick if that PDF was created by scanning to memory stick from the M20 printer itself. A thorough read of the manual confirms this fact. What the ***??? Not only do the motivation behind this astound me, the fact that this was discussed implemented and programmed into my printer by several people without anyone saying "Why the *** would we do that". Luckily my small school has become profitable enough to lease a professional small office printer, so the EPSON is getting the thorough smashing it deserves very soon.

Epson WF4630 A Waste!

Purchased one thinking it was going to work in occasional use. Within 30 days after warranty expired the logic board went bad. Epson said that model they will not stand behind. I suppose $300 is too cheap for them to fix. Printer was rated for heavy use, I did heavy scanning and light printing and it went bad quick, just not within warranty period. Don't buy it, its a waste and Epson won't stand behind it. Funny, if it carries a name of Work Force you would think it could stand up to a light printing load and a heavy scan load. It did not stand up at all. They are not dependable. If you buy one, you better not depend on it.

Lines on copies and scans

I called support about a problem that I was having, with every document that goes through the feeder the printer puts vertical lines straight down the documents. I have tried cleaning the rollers as suggestions by the manual to no success. Tech support was absolutely useless, they told me to contact a service center two hours away or purchase another printer through their loyalty program. This printer is only about a year old and if this is the best service that I can get out of an Epson printer I would not recommend that anyone purchase one of these printers. I use this printer for legal documents so I can't have lines in the documents.

EPSON used to make excellent Photo Quality printers, but IMHO, not any more

Up until this afternoon I'd fight a chain saw to get an Epson Printer. Almost two years ago while I was out with a shattered kneecap, my Epson 1400 printer almost literally went up in smoke. In a bind for a printer we replaced it with a Brother multi function printer that had 2 paper cassettes, and Scanner, Copy, Fax capability. I decided on Brother primarily because I regularly need to print on 8.5 x 11 letter size paper, and then 11 x 17" Tabloid size paper. At first I could not get the printer to work automatically with both paper types, but 15 or 20 minutes with a Brother Tech Support person, and downloading a new version of the printer driver had me up and running like I thought the printer should run. When we get heavily into design mode it is not unusual to run through a lot of ink, and a ream of paper can have a lifespan figured in fractions of a day, I'm sure that had a great deal to do with the Brother giving up the Ghost 10 days ago. Since I had a History of Good good luck with Epson for almost 20 years and, when I saw an Epson Work Force 7620, an All in One with many Whistles, and Bells, and 2 paper cassettes in the local Office Depot I didn't hesitate to get it, looking forward to Quality print on multiple paper sizes again. Once the 7620 was on my table I went about setting the paper sizes for the 2 cassettes, but could not get the printer to pick a paper size based on the document size specified in my design program. After my experience with BrotherI was sure a call to Epson Tech Support would be another 15-20 minute conversation.NO such luck. After hearing the same sob story from two semi warm bodies in Tech Support, that basically told me Epson was no longer smart enough to have their printers Auto Select paper size based on the size of the document on my computers desktop. In desperation I talked to "Joe" in Customer relations, hoping to hear a different story. What a pipe dream, he was less help than the first two. He made a half hearted excuse, and apology for my problems, but didn't seem to care if the printer worked or not, or even if I took it back to Office Depot, got my money back, and bought a competitors printer. IMHO Epson once had "Fine" printers, and Tech support people that "Gave a Damnm" about customer satisfaction and loyalty. Now it appears that after you lay down BIG BUCKS for a printer, if you are satisfied that's good, if you are unhappy they just don't give a ***! They're too big for one complaint to bother them. I hate to do this to the nice folks at Office Depot, but If I'm still within the return, No questions asked period, this Worthless Workless Force 7620 will be boxed up and in Office Depot's storeroom by noon tomorrow.
