NO ONE WILL REPAIR AN EPSON PRINTER, INCLUDING EPSON!!!

I have had my Epson Workforce Printer for 3 years.past the Warrany period. I have to admit it is GREAT when working. It just stopped all of a sudden and told me to contact Epson. Epson dont even answer their phones, nor do they reply to emails!!!! I called several printer repair shops and all sale THEY WONT TOUCH AN EPSON!. Im a small business owner.Am I supposed to wait. I asked a repair shop what to buy so this does NOT happen again? They said hands down BUY AN HP! Thats exactly what Im going to do if I dont hear from Epson in a day or two!!!!!

Firmware update

Yep. Read this site too late. My 4734 has now become a doorstop. When I buy an automobile I can use any brand of tires I choose. I should have the same rights with a printer to use any brand of printer ink I choose. This procedure should be made illegal in this country since it invalidates my purchase and makes it unusable. I have read that there are potential lawsuits involved in this. Does anyone know how to join them? Conversely, has anyone found out how to downgrade the firmware to the previous version?

Printer won't work,says its off line

printer says its off line, customer service in Japan said it was my mac pc .They could help me ifI paided $199.00 for 3 years.

I called Epson because after printer did update it did not recognize any ink cartridge original or generic. I spend an hour and a half with them, and all the wanted to know was about the inks. After so long of speaking emails and pics their answer was send us more pics. Epson time is money and people don't have time to keep repeating themselves. It's less of a headache to simply by another printer then to deal with your tech support they sound like broken records.

72I bought a brand new Epson Work Force 7720, that ended up having a hardware problem. I have now received my 4th broken refurbished replacement. I am very mad and on hold now. They better resolve this problem with either a new printer or one that is not broken prior to them shipping it. My original printer was less than 3o days old when I received the first replacement that was doing the same thing as my new one. The 2d, 3d and now 4th replacement have had the same broken part on it when I opened the box. This is not acceptable!! Since this site will not let me mark resolved or delete, just want to say that it is resolved and they are sending me a new printer.

I avoid buying any EPSON product because of this issue. I encountered the same problem and is just sad that EPSON it's allowed to rip off consumers in this manner.

Epson Projector Does not Work as Advertised

1) Purchased Epson 109W with the intention to use "PC Free" capability to run slides directly from USB without a laptop. 2) Unfortunately PC Free does not support powerpoint - but Epson does offer free software Easy MP Slide Converter to convert PowerPoint slides to its proprietary .FSE 3) However, Easy MP Slide Converter does not support current version of PowerPoint - only up to PowerPoint 2013 - a 6 year old version. 4) There is no fix - so I am out almost $1,000 to purchase a projector that cannot function for the advertised purpose for which I purchased it.

Ink on 3720 printer, mony grape

Was a long time Epson printer fan, until bought 3720. Ink runs out fast and cost a lot of money ($80 at staples) . Has limited third party generic ink cartridge suppliers. Printer driver software keeps popping up on ink levels and where to buy Epson orginal replacements.... SKIP this printer

Epson Printer Limitations

Bought an Epson XP-830 printer found out that there are no ‘$’ characters to allow you to input the password to access your wireless home Wi-Fi networks... There is no where in the manual that inform consumers of this limitation therefore I think Epson deceptive practice as to the products sold did not disclose this flaws and limitations of their products to it customers, FTC need to investigate.

Epson Expression Xp-430 all in one printer

I updated my printer software (big mistake). You see, Lexmark lost a case to 3rd party ink makers/sellers that allowed the 3rd party companies to continue to make and sell 3rd party ink which is much less money and most people would obviously use it. I am assuming on this but I am guessing the plan was to make the money on the ink, which by the way costs more than the printer did. So unbeknownst to me my software update contained a block for 3rd part ink. I was not a happy camper! None of my ink would work and before I knew why I had opened 3 cartridges, ruining them because they dry out if not used. I tried to reseal but it did not work. I downgraded the software, it took hours of uninstalling and re-installing, only got it working again because I had the old firmware in my downloads from last year as they removed the older version from their website. I will never, ever buy this brand again. I went out and bought a new printer, a brother and so far no issues. It is a solid printer and I got a good deal on it. I think I am sticking with brother as I have had no issues with 3rd party ink but also the ink for my brother printer is reasonable so I do not spend much on their ink, one XXL catridge is $15 and that to me is a great price. The model I got is MFC-J485DW and I have had it almost a year, I use it at work and print allot, it has worked without issue and I have used both brand ink and a number of 3rd party and find the brand to be better as far as quality and lasting the longest. So I tend to buy brother ink. Anyhow, I added this because I like to back good products and my epson printer was a headache I did not need. Done with the brand for good. It was a poor choice on their part as I am sure I am not the only customer who will not be recurring! The printer itself was okay, I have never gotten the wireless to work properly on the Epson, my new brother printer works out of the box without issue. My advice to Epson, charge less for ink and more for the printer, I would prefer to pay more for my printer and then have ink that is affordable, please fix the wireless printing set up, I am good with computer related items and I could not get it working.
