Not happy with customer support

I have had a Epson ET 7700 eco-tank printer for more than a year. I havent even ran the first set of ink through it. Ive been on the phone with Epson a few times. Says its Hardware failure. They dont want to do anything for me other than give me a discount on a new one. I have a $500 printer thats no good

Epson service or lack of service, after downloaded upgrade Not I can not print - everything in picture format will not print because paper is set to standard, total program goes back to windows printing anything saved as photo, even notes are considered as Windows Live Photo Gallery Program probably on computer No Help by phone, could have fixed this if person so called support listened. Off shore by accent, in a hurry, Did not want to know the problem

My company is heavily into editing, and we print labels for DVDs to send to various companies (of the videos we edit, of course). I called with a technical issue, which I was given a number by an automated system to call, then the phone hung up. Cool. Then, I call the number I was given, only to b re-routed 5 DIFFERENT TIMES, and given DIFFERENT phone numbers to call different departments that could "better help my issue". All the reps didn't even really care when I said I've been through this before, they were slightly rude, and kept saying "I'm going to transfer you to our specialist department", but it would be the same cycle. None of them know what they're doing. This is a complete trash company, and they should not still be in business. I hope their CEO looks at all of these and takes some notes. Revamp your company. Get brand-new employees. Re-train everyone. Good God. DO. NOT. BUY. THEIR. PRODUCTS. NOR. TRY TO. CALL. WITH. AN. ISSUE.

Details
After installing Epson's "update", after market replacement cartridges no longer work. Epson forces you to replace ink cartridges with their EXPENSIVE name branded cartridges, which do not last all that long. Epson needs to send out another update to fix this cartridge replacement problem. Until it does so, this printer is NOT RECOMMENDED. Epson - make the consumer aware up front.

I finally was able to get in contact with someone at their customer dept. Another printer was sent and it seems to working for now. I won't purchase another one of anything from their company.

Purchase Printer a couple of months ago, always a problem, paper jam, even tho you have taken all the jam paper out. Out of paper, put paper in and still there is a problem, all the time, it's not workable for a business. Call customer service needs help themselves, we are a business.

Buy a Brother

Details
First, the older Epsons were great. But mine died. But the newer Epsons are a pain. If you don't buy a WF 4740 or better, you can't do double sided scanning. You have to scan side 1, name it, (that in itself is a pain), then scan side 2, and name it. Two different documents. They don't say squat about this on the box anywhere. You gotta buy it, set it up, use it, then hope the store will take it back. My suggestion...buy a Brother.
