Hardly used it fir thr first 6 months that i had the printer. Went in after i had it for a year turned it on snd it didn't work. I called Epson support and was told my warranty was up snd was told i needed to have it serviced. I am not paying gor that. It cost as much...
Epson WorkForce WF-3640 All-in-One Printer
Absolute junk - the most finicky thing I ever had. Just look at it the wrong way and it acts up. Don't buy it! I bought it as a spare to my HP Laser jet which is a workhorse. I wanted something that offered color and could scan, copy, etc.... So, I knew that this printer would be an "occasional use" printer. I have had nothing but trouble, there is always something wrong, something jammed, something to look at. Not to mention the small ink vials. So, I needed it....I go to the store and buy $66.00 worth of ink, because I really needed to use it and BINGO - poor quality printing - even after cleaning the heads and printing test pages. Really, take a tip from me, stay away from Epson printers, there is no good news to report about them.

How can I help? JEFF NEWELL: printer will not copy, print not even a test page. I called Epson support they will not fix it unless I purchase a $99 service plan that last for 7 days Kandy: I am showing that you have a 1 year gaurantee with the manufacturer. Our coverage does not begin until 7/15/14. JEFF NEWELL: I talked to the tech at the store and the manager. They said if Epson refuses to honor ther warrenty I should call this number, the printer is usless at this point and I have an in home business that I have to have a printer Kandy: I understand your concern, but we can not file a claim until your plan begins. JEFF NEWELL: so officemax is ok that epson doesn't back there product and I'm out a $179 + tax printer Kandy: Again I apologize but I am not able to file a claim at this time. Epson printers SUCK!!
I have the Workforce 40 which I bought because it is wireless. Well, I bought a new router and now the printer doesn't work after following all the *** instructions on the Epson website. Their help on their site is absolutely worthless. Of course they don't have an 800 number and the number listed only works during certain hours Monday - Friday. I emailed their technical support. Well, they did get back to me, but what they sent me was literally copied and pasted from one of the first levels of help from their website. So, they're lazy, they rip you off, and their products suck. I can't wait for them to go out of business. I URGE EVERYONE TO NOT BUY EPSON PRODUCTS.
