Epson Ink Cartridge Review

When I replace a cartridge and it checks levels, the new cartridges NEver show full! Always different levels. Can only print maybe 5 pics and 4 letters and black runs out. This is with the high capacity cartridges. Epsom is into the business of *** their customers and really only selling cartridges! No more for me!!!

Don't buy from ClickInks

I bought almost $100. worth of print cartridges for my home printer, an Epson Workforce WF-2660 and when they arrived they did not fit my printer. I shipped them back to the company's Florida address for refund or replacement, but nothing happened for over a month. When I sent an e-mail to customer service, they insisted I provide the shipping receipt--I had already provided the receipt for the printer cartridges. When I could not find the shipping receipt, they told me I was out of luck--they would not send a refund or replacement cartridges. This was a very expensive lesson--do NOT do business with ClickInks!

Epson printer ink bad value

I bought an Epson XP630 printer about 6months ago for school. It seemed a good value and indeed it does do a good job of printing and scanning. However, the ink system is a total rip-off. I have already spent more on ink than the for the printer itself, and I really don't print much at all. Here's one example: My cyan was depleted, so I replaced it. After loading it (just that one!), ALL the other cartridge levels dropped at least 10%. Which then caused the yellow to be depleted, even though I hadn't printed a single page yet. So then I had to replace the yellow, and sure enough, ALL the cartridges dropped again. Now the black, which this morning had about 40% left, is at about 10%. It just dumps inks from all the cartridges! WITHOUT printing a single page! I have taken the advice of other commenters to NEVER turn the printer off (it dumps a lot of ink every time it powers on/off). I also specify gray scale printing for anything black&white, since I've learned that even black text will use the color inks. I also reduce the quality to deliver less ink-- on default it uses way more than is necessary. With these settings I estimate I can get about 100 pages of black text, still less than the advertised estimated capacity. A total scam. And because of their fancy-schmancy microchips, you cannot refill the cartridges or use an after-market supplier. Also you might want to disable auto-update of settings, because they keep finding ways to take away features. Like, at first I had the option to continue printing using the photo-black cartridge if the regular black ran out, but after "updating" this option has been removed. Gee, thanks. Since I never print photos this means the only way I use the photo-black is when the printer dumps ink to waste... Caveat emptor.

Epson - This is BS

Ok, normally, I am calm about stuff like this and i am willing to put up with a certain amount of nonsense, but this is just too much. I've got an Epson WorkForce 2630 that I have owned for about 6 months. The ink for these printers is ridiculous. I just replaced the Cyan cartridge, printed 20 pages in black and white and now the *** thing is reading empty. In the last six weeks, I have had to replace at least 5 cartridges to print up less than 200 pages. What kind of *** is this? What really makes me mad is that the printer itself is actually a good printer but after dealing with this blatant scam for ink cartridges, it's just not worth it. I am done with this.

Epson WF-3640 blue color print problem not fixed

My WF-3640 blue cartridge would have blank lines in the bus color. Cleaned color print heads over 5 times per instructions from Epson. Each time using up more ink until another color ran out. Epson never offered to replace the printer even though my printer was just over 1 month over the 1 year warranty. Found out that unlike HP, Epson print heads are part of the printer, and not part of the cartridge. This is my first and last Epson. Never had this problem from HP. Buyer beware.

Epson - All-in-one machine - ink cartridge issue 13 months - hardley used

Dear customer service. I contacted technical support for an issue I had with my all in one printer only to find out since it is not under warranty I need to take it to an authorized dealer to fix the hardware problem. I called the authorized dealer in my area only to find out they have an 89$ minimum charge to even look at the printer. I purchased this printer in February of 2014 for 150$. By January 2015 I had gone through 2 ink cartridges, 20$ each - Epson ink from Office Max, one black one cyan which isn't very much because I don't print very much. I mostly use the scanner function. In January, it showed that three ink levels were low black, yellow and red so I bought the full pack from Costco (Epson ink!!!!!) for $60. When I replaced the three cartridges I received an error on the full Cyan Cartridge to replace it because it was faulty. (hardly used) So I put the brand new one I just bought in to see if that would fix the problem. Obviously it did not. Oh, and the ink problem rendered the scanner useless. At this point, I am into this printer for $250, a machine I have hardly used. Now you are telling me I have to spend another $89 to get it fixed when I can go buy a new one with full ink cartridges for $120!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say, your customer service stinks and I think your product is a scam! I will never buy Epson again and will let everyone I can know not to buy Epson either. Sincerely, Dissatisfied customer!

Epson XP-810 uses ink like crazy.

First of all, if I had known that Epson is owned by Seiko, I would never have bought this printer. Secondly, although the black ink was used up pretty fast from the beginning, since the latest firmware "upgrade", black ink cartridges are now completely used up in ONE DAY of normal printing. Although I have not made a totally accurate count, it appears that the LARGE black ink cartridge is good for, maybe, 100 pages. At $12.99 each from Office Depot, that works out to just short of $0.13/page for ink alone. Epson/Seiko are a bunch of thieves, and I will NEVER, EVER buy another Epson/Seiko product again. I intend to also submit a formal complaint to Office Depot about this issue. Although I am a regular customer at Office Depot, and have been for a number of years, I am seriously considering switching my allegiance to a different office supply company. Epson/Seiko can go to ***.

EPSON'S PRINTER CARTRIDGES POORLY, LOWLY FILLED!

I AGREE with several other consumers whole heartly! EPSON CARTRIDGES (200) for the ALL-IN-ONE PRINTER (WF-2540) is a big joke! It doesn't make any sense that EPSON would "purposely" design a printer cartridge that would make the customer (via word of mouth) tell others NOT to buy their product (printers). Unfortunately, THAT'S WHAT I'M GOING TO DO!!! My goal is to let as many CONSUMERS as possible know "exactly" how many cartridges it will take to make these "pricey-poorly-filled" cartridges last for a few "modest" printing jobs. I use to own a Kodak Printer (after approx. 9 yrs.) it finally broke from wear & tear. Unfortunately, I didn't buy another KODAK BRAND...I thought I'd give the EPSON BRAND Printer a try since it was on sale. I regret that I did! EPSON PRINTERS blow through that little ink in them in no time. In the future I will NOT PURCHASE an EPSON BRAND PRINTER (I don't care how low the sale price is)...their company will get you in the purse for all those ink cartridges you will have to purchase just to get modest printing jobs done. Don't even think about using a "generic" brand ink cartridge in their printers...it will FLASH a WARNING sign across the display panel stating that the "cartridge is not recognized" "OR" it will state Please add a new Epson Cartridge! Additionally, EPSON rig their PRINTERS to only ACCEPT the "initial" set-up cartridges when you FIRST use the printer. I "misplaced" my initial set-up cartridges and just decided to purchase new ones to get my printing project done...little did I know that when I FOUND the "initial" cartridges...that the EPSON PRINTER would "REJECT" them! What kind of company purposely "set-up" their printer devices to do this! My family & associates at work suggested that I go to every social network site (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, YEP, MySpace, Pissed Consumer, blogs, etc.) and "spread the word" about EPSON's Printers & it's "lowly-filled" ink cartridges and additionally let others know about how EPSON places a "micro-chip" on its product (ink cartridges) so that you CAN NOT HAVE THE OPTION TO REFILL or PURCHASE generic brand ink cartridges to use in their printers. That little CHIP is their way of "forcing" consumers to EXCLUSIVELY PURCHASE their highly priced cartridges. I'm definitely going to ask a few of my EGGHEAD(engineer/Tech)friends if they know "how" to OVER-RIDE that *** micro chip! ;-D At these sites I can reach many consumers! I feel that it is my responsibility as a consumer to WARN as many people as possible regarding EPSON INK CARTRIDGES. If my action as a concerned consumer can get the attention of EPSON regarding their ink cartridges due to their "printer sales" DROPPING...then I have successfully reached the MASSES and had a chance to "voice" my opinion concerning the poorly-filled ink cartridges.

Epson has lost a customre

The Artisan 800 is an ink hog that perpetuates their ink sales. Decent AIO but costs me about $600 in ink (4 refills). Well no more, I got a new Brother Laser Printer B&W that will run off about 2000 sheets before needing a $40 toner replacement cartridge. I don't understand how Epson uses color cartridges for B&W printing, makes no sense. Epson: You screwed yourself, not only did you lose a customer for your products, but ink as well. I'll never buy another one of your products and I'll tell as many of my friends as I can when they're thinking of changing printers.

EPSON All In One NX 100 JUNK!!!

Bought the NX -100 a little over a year ago, liked it for about a month, before it started fighting with me Every Day. first it ran through ink in half the time of any other printer I'd seen, until I stopped buying their cartridges and started using generics that oddly enough had Twice as much ink as the official Eppies. Then the machine started detecting the unofficial cartridges and refusing to print with them installed. Overcame that with refillables that reset the Epsom smart reader and pretended they were Eppie cartridges. Thought I ws finally home free until today, when the machine again refused to print, this time posting an onscreen note " There are internal parts which have reached the end of their service life. Contact Epson Support for Servicing" And of course it locked down and won't print. Contacted support, got an unlock code to reset the "internal pages printed counter" spent an hour uploading, downloading, fighting with my Vista software about being allowed to run the Epson page count fix software, etc. surprise, the software posted its own message that the unit did not need to be re-set and shut itself down, but still left the printer refusing to print, because IT has decided its at end of life and steadfastly refuses to print. Scanner, Fax, Printer, now all dead because the ink sponges are full and you can't change them or get new ones unless you ship the little *** to a service center. BTW, contacted them, and they confirm its not worth the trouble to do the service, so they just send you a refurbed unit for $100.00 or so, and "recycle the ones that declare they're dead" So basically, twice the ink cost of any other printer, until you get past the cartridge analyser inside, constantly rejecting unofficial ink, slow as *** to decide to print when it actually does, and after a year of light office work, it declares itself dead in the water and suggests you go buy a replacement. Want to gues what brand will Never come home with me again?

Epson printers will not work if one of the four color cartridges is empty. I tried to print a letter (black and white), but the magenta ink cartridge was empty. I went to the Printer Properties and set it to print "Black Ink Only", but that didn't even work. I...

This piece of crap only works 40% of the times that I need to use it. I can have new ink in the damned thing and the machine tells me I'm low.

Sometime is will start printing TWO DAYS after I've tried to print something. I have Epson with a passion.
