Ecotank is Garbage

I've had this Ecotank printer, bought for 300.00plus . It's Never worked Properly, Never connected to my wifi, computer OR phone! Ive not been able to Scan Anything, And If I attempt To Print something I get an ERROR messg!! Ive Never owned such a Piece of Useless Garbage as This ever! EPSON Has NO customer Service, And If someone Answers the phone The Accent is So Thick I can't Understand Anything they say.. HORRIBLE!!

A very important concern about this company. Love the printer but do not like the company stance on using non-Epson ink cartridges.

Have had this printer for about 1-1/2yrs using Non-Epson ink bought online. Worked flawlessly. But Epson sent a firmware update and it no longer recognizes the ink cartridges. Looked online about this and this is one of the Epson printers that has no solution to downgrade the firmware.

I called Epson and spoke with multiple people and eventually corporate offices. They told me that using Epson ink is not a recommendation but a requirement. They could do nothing. At this point I am just going to buy another printer.

I cant stomach buying Epson ink for 2-3 times the money just out of principal.

They literally ruined my printer which was working fine two hours ago. There is a class action lawsuit against them for this exact issue right now...

WF-3820 I have had it some time. It has worked fine all this time on after market ink. Today an update came in and after the update, it would not print. Maintenance Error. After talking to many people on your site, the last person said buy new Epson Ink and if it would not work, they would replace the printer. I said that I would . After thinking about it for some time, I decided to chunk it into the trash can and go buy a different brand. Your company killed it forcing me to buy Epson ink when it had worked fine before the update. Epson complaint number 220113****65.

Being forced to buy epson ink!! This company is a foreign entity forcing free enterprise into the corner.

Why should they be legally allowed to stop my printer working after 2 years of mixed use (epson and EZ Ink) cartridges? after 2 hours on the phone all the way up to recording an official grievance with the company, I will be putting a pick through the device!!!

I will never buy an epson product again!o not buy epson branded products - they are using D

What total BS about the "security" of the product - it is MINE, not theirs and if I want to risk print quality it is none of their business - they are unethical, immoral and probably dabbling in anti competitive practices. I will be looking around for law folks who love to go into this kind of behavior.

If you don't use the printer regularly you are totally screwed ...It errors you to replace cartages that you already replaced a month earlier and used only 1 time!!! ...Basically, if you use an Epson once a month you'll need to replace and dump $60 bucks on new ink for 2 pages. Try and troubleshoot?.....you'll need to again need to dump $60 dollars for new ink that you replaced a month earlier, but never used to even troubleshoot the blurry and streaked pages. This company has designed it that you will need to constantly buy their ink cartridges whether you are using the printer or not. Epson is a complete and total fraud company with poor products....stay away from Epson.

Cannot use remanufactured cartridges in wf2830. Put in real epsom cartridges and they also were rejected. I have had nothing but problem after problem with this machine.

Scanner error 100016. unable to resolve.

Scanner error 100016 on printer window can not be closed, scanner will not scan. Printer from wireless connection to PC is OK. Unable to copy or scan. Tried all the suggested procedures. No fix. I will trash the WF4740 along with about $100 in ink cartridges. No more Epson for me. Looking for recommendations for new All in One unit.
