Piece of *** printer. I purchased it due to its affordability, but turns out to be one of the most expensive printers I've ever owned. I've spent more in ink than i did on the printer in the 2 years I've owned it, and literally have printed less than 2 dozen items, and less than 10 of those were of any quality. Spent the better part of the day cleaning the print heads after spending more than the price of the printer on ink. Only got 1 decent document to print. It seems to have list its mind trying to print the 2 sided pdf i needed. Still have 3 other documents needing printing before i go on my business trip monday. Thank god i have a few reliable brothers in the other office. What a piece of *** (at least the scanner was able to send the receipts i needed to my laptop so i could fill out my expense report - but i could have done that with my phone).

ET-2750 is made in The Philippines by the same English speaking illiterates that man their Filipino call center. Bought15 Epson for my employees and 2 failed shortly ( 2 months ) after the warranty expired.... coincidence? Likely engineered. Both stopped printing and had detached plastic parts in the bottom of the machine! Used their Chat function for support, the software for which is as poor as their printers. Took 4.5 hours to try and get a replacement which they promised they would provide ( that was too easy meaning they must encounter enraged consumers frequently ) if I would send pictures and receipt. Did both. Got bounced from one Filipino operator to another who told me that my AMEX receipt wasn't good enough and must have store receipt...all designed hassle so they don't have to stand behind a poor product and spend money that isn't in their budget. These dopes just earned HP the revenue of 15 new desktop printers. Epson is legalized, thieves!

WorkForce WF-3640 is the Worst

Printer demands that I am continuously purchase THEIR Epson ink cartridges. It seems that I am forced to purchase an ink cartridge every month--either black or one of the colors. I rarely print in color so the ink cartridge must dry out - unless Epson manufactures the cartridges to "read" empty. I have a brand new, XL Black cartridge and this printer will not print (because {Y} is reportedly out of ink), even though I state B&W printing. Throwing this piece of *** away.

Wf 3640 disaster

I've gone through maybe a dozen printers but this one if the worst ever. It won't scan more than 3 documents before reporting that it no longer has communication with the computer. None of the presets work even after long calls to their help desk and to top it off, the print nozzles need cleaning every few days even though all of the cartridges are Epson. I could go on but there is no point, Poor printing, unreliable setup, the litany goes on and on. Don't even look at Epson again

ink is crap....printer head is so cheap it doesnt work.... on 4th epson printer in 2 years ....support...heck i cant hardly understand their language , after $150 in ink test head cleaning... nozzel and line checks , hes and hrs of time ....i now cant get my money back unless i buy more so they can test it . told the tests ran from internet website and mantience or on screen instructions don't count ...and you wont get your money back if you dont purchase more ink in contract im told . so they !!!! can run their test . @ $200 in ink to get working or less than 150 pages of printing cost of PRINTER , paper etc thats about $3 $4 per sheet costs . dont buy more ink just throw it away when ink is done !!!

No customer service for a defective ink cartridge

Opened up a factory sealed Cyan ink cartridge. My printer didn't recognize it. I opened up an identical factory sealed cartridge which worked fine. I bought the items for my home office more than a month prior, so it was outside the Amazon return window. The defective cartridge is well within the 2020 expiration date. I called Epson. I was told to return it to Amazon, and I explained why I could not. The rep said "We will send a tech to your office for a fee". Of course this is a $17 item and the fee far exceeds that, and it's the wrong "solution". Then I posted on Facebook and contacted them through FB messenger. On Nov 21 they replied they would have an answer soon. I contacted them 4 more times and finally the same form mail response Dec 3. It's Dec 11. No response. All I want is a replacement for their defective item.

I will be done with Epson.

After updating the firmware several times on my 3 month old WF-4730 printer it seemed to do some things worse. The last firmware update would not recognize the same ink cartridges it worked great with before the update. I researched and found as of now you are unable to reverse the firmware update and this is the way they decided to force you to by their expensive ink only. This is predatory business practice and should be illegal. Supreme court did rule last year in favor of the consumer. The other issue this unit has is stopping during printing for no reason between the second copy of a 2 page invoice for 35+ seconds. Called customer support and was confirmed that you can not go back on firmware versions. Customer support ? They lost me.

Epson Scam and Terrible Customer Service

I purchased and Epson WF-7620 in February 2016. Within the year the printer had failed. The ink nozzles failed which left lines through my images and discolored images. I called Epson, after over 3 hours of conversation they replaced the unit with a refurbished one. I was ok with the outcome, but then, that one failed ALSO! The ink nozzles FAILED AGAIN! I called back and they replaced that one too. At that point I was on my 3rd Epson WF-7620 in a year and a half. It is now June 2018 and my 3rd printer FAILED AGAIN!!! Same issue, the ink nozzles failed. This time they REFUSE to REPLACE the unit, saying "I was on borrowed time with the last one and they should not have replaced it". I don't know anyone who wants a customer service agent to tell the consumer the "you're on borrowed time". Not only did they supply me with 2 faulty units, but they wasted 3 hours of my days just to tell me that I was lucky to have the second unit replaced. I would understand if I broke it, used non-Epson ink, or somehow abused the unit, but that is not what happened! Epson sold me a faulty unit, knowing that it would fail and sent me two more, knowing those too would fail and refuses to replace it. Their warranty does not apply to the unit you have, but only to the first year of purchase, If your product fails in that first year, they will send you a "refurbished" model and not guarantee that it will last. This is a SCAM!!! If Epson had any faith in their products, they would warranty the actual product. It's absolutely criminal to sell products knowing they will break and I highly recommend that any consumer NOT to PURCHASE Epson. It's a scam. Also, if you are one of those suckers that falls into their trap be prepared to be bullied and not to have any of your issues taken seriously. I don't know if Epson is just cheap and the people they employee in customer relations are unhappy, bit they are rude and refuse to escalate because their supervisors "don't talk to people like you". I could go on and on. If anyone else has had a similar experience, please write reviews.

Printers not working

I bought an Epson 47??. After just a short time print nozzles failed. Print head cleaning function did nothing. Costco, thank God, took it back. Got the newer model that had just arrived. Neither document feeder nor print paper feeder worked no matter what grade and quality of paper I tried. Spent 2 hours on the phone with Epson only to be told what I know from the beginning: Hardware failure right out of the box! Costco to the rescue. Bought the new Ecotank 37??. Set it up, does not feed paper for scanning or copying purposes no matter what I try. Okay, so I am apparently stupid and insane for trying the same brand 3 times. Never had an issue with any of my HP's. Lesson learned but Epson should get out of the printer business! They obviously have no clue what they are doing!

Hard to believe three different printers conspired to frustrate your printing career. Perhaps it's your computer or the settings, etc.? Go back to HP if you wish, Epson will survive.

Hardly. Epson's own personnel diagnosed the issues as hardware failure, to use their term and I spent quite a bit of time with them on the phone as I don't have the time to run to Costco all the time.

Furthermore, if a printer/scanner pulls in or spits out 4 pages and more of any type paper, 20#, 24#, from different vendors right out of the box, it would be hard to blame settings or the paper either. I used Epson years ago with good results but today's machines are just flimsy and shoddily put together.

Updated software causes printer unusable

Recently, my printer continually had messages telling me to download a software "update". I finally did that. After the download, the printer stopped working altogether, with a messaage "Ink cartridge is not recognized". Curiously, 2 were recognized and 3 were not. These cartridges were purchased from competitors to Epson. After several hours on the phone with Epson's technical support, they determined that I should buy all original Epson ink ($80, which is more than the printer cost) and then if it still didn't work, to call them back. I was very astonished by this advice and asked to speak to a manager. She said that she could not transfer my call. Really? No managers at Epson customer service call centers? My printer worked perfectly fine before the "update". DON'T BUY EPSON, THEY TRAP YOU INTO BUYING THEIR OVERPRICED INK!

Bad Bad Bad

We bought our printer just over a year ago. We rarely use it for printing. But a lot for scanning. So it ran out of ink and we bought the color ones on line thru that pop up thing from the printer. We got the ink and we didn't use it for quite some time because we only ordered it for when we did run out. We bought it in July 2017. Well Jan 2018 we ran out of magenta. Took it out of the new unopened 3 pack box marked 220 and took vacuum plastic off it. Well it wouldn't work. So I messaged Epson and kept getting the runaround about how to get it to work. I had tried all those tricks several times. I'm not stupid, I know how to use a printer. They asked for pics of the old and new cartridges. I emailed them and they told me the I on the end of them meant they were the Initial ones that came with the printer when it was new and that they could not replace any of them. I didn't spend almost $30 to be told that. Seems to me someone put the wrong ones in the wrong box at the factory!!! But they made it sound like I was stupid and was trying to get a replacement for the old ones that came with it. After several weeks of back and forth they "claim" they will send me a magenta replacement. In the meantime I can't even scan with the printer. I have never owned something so *** And never owned a printer you can't do anything with when there is no ink. And WHY does it use color ink when you print in black n white? Never again will I buy another Epson brand anything!!!!
