Epson Wf-2630 Printer Review
Bought Epson WF-2630 printer. Had it about a year. Get an error message to replace Magenta #220 ink cartridge. Replaced. Got an error message that it was not ecognized. Replaced again. Same error message. Got maybe 100 copies out of it. Cheap junk. Do not buy for any reason. Bought a Kodak printer to replace itn

New XP-640 Printer software and update isn't any good.
New XP-640 Printer software and update isn't any good. We've just installed a NEW XP-640 printer on a Win XP SP3 PC. The install went well and the printer alignment and test prints are good. It prints fine from Photoshop. However, some of the the Epson software isn't good. The scan and OCR software is hopeless. It can't find the printer or only detects an Epson CX4100/4200, which was gone over 5 years ago and is definitely not listed in the recognized printers (only the new one is). It's software was also long removed. We have checked for software updates and installed them. HOWEVER, the download took 5 hours for 200 MB on a 12 Mbps connection RIDICULOUS!!! The USB connections are good. We have tried a different USB port, no effect. The ink level utility works fine. Frankly, I had hoped for a all inclusive software suite, as had been used in the past. No such luck with this hodgepodge. So I say the printer gets 4 stars and the software gets 1 star.

Verified Reviewer Junior ReviewerEpson Artisan 837 feeding several pages at once
Just wanted to state the awful product support I have received. I was simply having an issue with the printer feeding multiple pages. To have to be on the phone for 30 minutes speaking to someone who hardly understands what a printer is read to me from a book is horrible support. I am in IT, and work in support. It was just totally unacceptable. So now they want me to send my printer in for repair. I am sure this is something that I cold have been walked through had I been given a chance to speak to someone who knows the product. I even was passed on to a higher level of support, and was put in the SAME EXACT situation, someone reading to me out of a book. I would never send this printer in for this problem. At this point, I plan on moving away from Epson, and will seek out another brand.

Our only Printer Down - Service technican scheduled after 10 days
My 3 months old SC P 20000, installed at my workplace in Goleta, CA USA started spewing ink all over the prints . I called in to raise a complaint ticket on the 30th December 2016 , (ticket #161230-****42). I also sent them an email showing pictures of what the printer was doing. The parts arrived on Tuesday the 3rd of Jan. When the technician didn't come to repair the printer, I called Epson. They said that the technician will call me. Another couple of days later I called them again and , they finally gave me another number to call. This was for a 3rd party agency called Decision one. After calling in the they connected my to the technician Richard who hung up saying that they tried calling me and I didn't pick up. I checked my voice and missed calls, there were none. I called again and this time I was given a tentative time of 12th December for the technician to visit me. This was unacceptable since Epson has a 24 hour service commitment as per warranty terms. I called Nick at ColorHQ, The company that sold me this printer. He asked me for a claim #, which nobody at Epson had cared to provide so far. I called in and this time asked for the claim # and forwarded that to Nick. This was Friday, 6th Jan, 2017 I got a call back from Richard the tech. saying he could come fix the machine earliest on Tuesday 10th Jan. Even after requesting to come the same day or at least the next day, he said Tuesday was the earliest. 10 days of downtime for my only large format printer has caused me several thousand dollars worth of lost business and customers. They outsource their customer service to an external agency called Decision one and have no coordination or follow up with this agency. I would advice everyone to invest in a back up printer if the only machine they have is an Epson.

Epson gives terrible customer service
I have been trying to get through to the right department regarding an in warranty replacement with epson for a week now, calling several times a day, in which epson employees toy around with me, giving me false names, false numbers, and lying to me about who they are, and who to speak to. They refuse to get me a manager, the last of whom I spoke to even said "I am the owner of epson" and then proceeded to give me a false manager and employee number. They have even laughed at me and hung up on me. I am pissed. They are insensitive and unprofessional. This is NOT how to do business.

Absolute ***, won't print black
I understand a business needing to make money to survive, however flucking over your customers by requiring them to have ALL the color cartridges even when all you need is black is absolutely appalling. This product is complete garbage, even without this problem. I really hope the owner of this company or whoever decided this rule flucks themselves with a rusty broken metal rake. There is absolutely no reason to be so money hungry or just plain dumb that you would make this a rule in the setup of your product. And why do i need 100 words? Would you prefer I continue this rant? Because I'm pretty sure it will not.

Epson Ink Cartridge Review
When I replace a cartridge and it checks levels, the new cartridges NEver show full! Always different levels. Can only print maybe 5 pics and 4 letters and black runs out. This is with the high capacity cartridges. Epsom is into the business of *** their customers and really only selling cartridges! No more for me!!!

Piece of junk!
I bought an Epson x420 printer October 2015. It was nothing but problems right out the box. It runs out of ink after only a few printings. The print quality is terrible and paper jams constantly. If you don't use it for a few days, the ink cartridge dries up and won't work at all. This printer is an ink junkie! and will bleed you dry. I bought it at a Frys store and tried to return it under warranty but the box and receipt had been tossed out with the Christmas wrappings by mistake. Frys, for some reason, couldn't find my digital receipt (they always have before) so they wouldn't take it back. Epson customer service is a joke wrapped in red tape. Epson used to make the best printers but they have really gone downhill. Don't buy an Epson printer unless you like drama.

Epsom suck
worse printer I have ever owned complete *** would tell anyone to run and buy any other brand. will not accept non genuine ink replacement cartridges and charge the most of any oem cartridge. I did not agree on purchase nor was there point of sale stating will not accept 3rd party replacements, if there had been i wold have bought canon or hp or brother or anything but epsom. printer cartridges are a huge enviromental issue so the use of recycled only makes responsible sense. epsoms refusal to accept this is irresponsible corporate practice and they should not be allowed to trade in countries that encourage sustainable enviromental practice.

Misleading Specifications, Slow Support, Review Censoring
I bought a pretty dang expensive printer from Epson that is also a fairly new model, and apparently became one of the first people to actually own one of this particular model (ET-16500). I bought it based on some features listed in the specifications on Epson's own web site, in particular the capability for borderless printing. The first unit I received was defective out of the box. It took an inordinately long amount of time to convince Epson of this. I logged no less than six phone calls to support and my total time on the phone with them just to get this $1000+ machine repaired or replaced was slightly over six hours, including time spent on hold. They told me repair was impossible, I would get a replacement only. Getting the printer replaced took 18 days -- slightly over two and a half weeks. Epson was repeatedly unable to give me even an estimate on when my replacement unit would be available. Did I mention that I paid extra for next day shipping? Because that seems pretty important. The new printer worked, but not as advertised. The listed borderless printing feature does not exist! I contacted Epson about this and was told (after another lengthy wait on hold) that this model is not designed for borderless printing and I should have bought a different one. I later wrote a detailed review of this printer on Epson's web site, including pointing out the missing borderless printing feature. The review was not overly negative, and honestly pointed out the good points of this particular product. Epson's response to this was to delete my review -- which was the first one ever printed on their web site for this model -- and also quietly remove the claim that this model supports borderless printing, which it does not. Epson's web site is now clogged full of 56+ reviews of this product, none of which are from paying customers and most of which bear the tag line "this review was written in exchange for a free printer from Epson," in not so many words. All of the reviews are overwhelmingly positive. I find this a trifle hard to believe. Never mind the fact that people are naturally going to sing the praises of a $1000+ piece of merchandise they got for free, it seems that all of the negative reviews have been pruned. Beware.

Epson WF-2650
This has to be the least intuitively designed product I have ever worked with. Just changing the short lived ink cartridges is a major event. This is my SECOND and LAST Epson printer. Way too much drama, cost, and aggravation. My last laser printer gave my 10+ years of problem free printing. These Epsons seem to last a year at extremely low print volume to boot. They will keep the electronic recyclers working for years to come. You would think a quality product like the Mac would find a better partner? You would also think Epson would spend less time harping to consumers about the dangers of using 3rd party ink and spend more time designing a better product? Anybody know why I have to enter at least 100 words here to post? Is this a post or a filibuster?

Epson - 837 Printer Review from Yonkers, New York
Epson Artisan 837 Problem: "ink waste pad end of life" Complaint: Epson refuses to give you a reset key when you do your own repairs. The scanner cannot be used when this error occurs. It becomes an expensive paperweight. My profession: Pro Video/Audio Production and IT & Build my own custom computers. My Opinion: This is a "SCAM" perpetrated on consumers and it only serves to force a new printer and scanner purchase. No logical reason whatsoever that any printer should stop because there is internal programming to do so. Consumers will know when the printer is worn out and no longer functioning and even if the printer is worn out the scanner should still be working because it doesn't use any ink. Epson Product #2 I have filed a complaint on the other one is the Epson Artisan 730 with the exact same issue and no resolution from Epson. Ownership: purchase new and on several other specialty printers for other jobs. But depended on scanners functioning despite the "Scam" of "ink waste pad error message"

Sorry Epson. I also do not want to use "wine" to try and run your printers.
Open Source your drivers and let programers write Linux applications for you.
Brother also supports Linux for quite a few of their printers.
Also Brother has printers that use the HP print definitions( for the 'HP Only' applications).
