No customer service for a defective ink cartridge

Opened up a factory sealed Cyan ink cartridge. My printer didn't recognize it. I opened up an identical factory sealed cartridge which worked fine. I bought the items for my home office more than a month prior, so it was outside the Amazon return window. The defective cartridge is well within the 2020 expiration date. I called Epson. I was told to return it to Amazon, and I explained why I could not. The rep said "We will send a tech to your office for a fee". Of course this is a $17 item and the fee far exceeds that, and it's the wrong "solution". Then I posted on Facebook and contacted them through FB messenger. On Nov 21 they replied they would have an answer soon. I contacted them 4 more times and finally the same form mail response Dec 3. It's Dec 11. No response. All I want is a replacement for their defective item.

Won't print if color ink has run out

I purchased a Epson xp 446 1 month ago. The printer works fine but when one of the color ink runs out, it will not let me print anything. Even though my black ink cartridge is full. I don't use color for anything because I only print document in black ink. So, for me to have to purchase color ink which I don't use is a waste of money. Epson should realize that some of there customers don't need to print in color. Buying color ink that I don't need only benefits Epson not the customer. Epson should give me an option rather I want to use black ink or color.

That's how (most) inkjet printers are designed. They won't print if you run out (or low) on one of the color inks even if your print jobs only require black ink. It's how they get you to buy overpriced color ink cartridges more often than you need to.

#1662993

Im confused... while I understand the frustration of not being able to print the black ink cartridge is sold seperatly as well?

Epson printer not a good and Customer Service is horrible

It is impossible to get a representative that knows how to trouble shoot the problem with the Epson WF-3620 printer. The printer suddenly does not allow you to make a double sided copy. For the sold purpose to up sale the Epson service, I am told by Epson Tech Jackson that it is my network. I then tried to contact another tech that would perhaps be knowledgeable regarding the printer, but my call forwarded back into Jackson line. I was advised by him that he will continue to get my calls until he close out the claim . The Representative has no honest knowledge on how to troubleshoot the WF-3620 printer, and purposely is blocking me from speaking with the next available Technician for assistant. I will never purchase any Epson product again. Sad

Piece of junk!

Says it uses all of your ink when I only print in black and white. If only a small amount of ink is used why do I need to replace all of the cartridges? A real ripoff. Will buy a laser Ptinter and it won’t be an EPSON! This is the second time I have had to replace all the cartridges in less than 6 months using only black and white print option. The ink costs more than the printer. Printing less than 50 documents in b/w......and now I need to replace magenta and cayenne. Why not the yellow and black also.......go figure. I am trashing this printer and buying another brand. And now your complaint section won’t allow me to lodge a complaint without using 100 words?

Xp-6000

What a piece of junk. Bought this for the sole purpose of printing cd's. Old hp did the job for close to 20 years. This thing has been a frustration from day one. Every time I tried to set it up to print cd's, it would tell me to shut off the printer and start over again. After maybe 10 tries, it would let me print cd's. Called Epson support and got the run around in a foreign language. Today I went through the drill about 10 times and it told me I had a paper jam. Sure enough, it was jammed, though I had never told it to print on paper. Cleared the jam and then it told me I need to replace the photo black cartridge. Never printed a photo on this piece of junk. Called support. They said I had to replace the photo black for the printer to do anything. Offered to mail me a cartridge. When I told them that didn't solve the problem of this thing not wanting to print cd's. They put me on hold and sent me to the complaint department, who told me they can do absolutely nothing. If someone offers you an Epson, run from them like your hair is on fire.

No Help At All

I purchased a Epson WF-4730 which turned on for two seconds with a blank screen then shut off. I called the (800) 463-**** to get a rep telling me it was my network. I told him I was following the instructions that came with the printer it specifically says take printer out of box plug it in and select your language on the screen. It never got that far I said. He chuckled and said sir you have a network issue let me log in to your computer, which he did. After a few minutes he said he would need to send a technician out to my house but it would cost me. I told him that I just purchased this printer plus $125 in extra ink and now you want to charge me for a broken out of the box printer? Needless to say I returned the printer to staples EPSON needs to step up its game in the customer service department, they suck.

Xp-830 printer

So far I have identified two major problems with this printer. First, it is impossible, so far as I can tell, to printer labels. 30 minutes on the phone with customer support and no solution. Here is a basic function, this printer can't do it, or if it can, figuring out how takes a monumental effort. Second, it has this great feature that when one color print cartridge is empty, you can't print AT ALL, even just in black. I didn't believe this when customer support told me. If I dare attempt anything more sophisticated than printing labels or printing when one just one cartridge is empty, I'm sure I'll find other problems with this truly horrible printer. Never again, never Epson. Do not buy anything these people make.

WF2530 achieves consistency at poor. mostly

WF2530 bought three years or so ago. Worked perfectly for a couple weeks and then began to have problems, First the feeder on top that was supposed to feed in many papers one after another to be copied. Outstanding but quit working pretty fast. Next the attempt to change ink. Every time is a challenge and makes me regret buying the mess. Next the instructions rarely result in solutions. Etcetera The current problem is it only shows the upper left hand side of what I desire to print. I can't center the text. It then only prints that upper left side and no effort has yet to make it center and print the whole document. I had an Epson printer many years ago that was so good I wanted Epsom as the printer in the current custom computer. A horrible mistake that I suffer with most of the time. Never Epson!!!!

Epson Printer Limitations

Bought an Epson XP-830 printer found out that there are no ‘$’ characters to allow you to input the password to access your wireless home Wi-Fi networks... There is no where in the manual that inform consumers of this limitation therefore I think Epson deceptive practice as to the products sold did not disclose this flaws and limitations of their products to it customers, FTC need to investigate.

Epson Expression Xp-430 all in one printer

I updated my printer software (big mistake). You see, Lexmark lost a case to 3rd party ink makers/sellers that allowed the 3rd party companies to continue to make and sell 3rd party ink which is much less money and most people would obviously use it. I am assuming on this but I am guessing the plan was to make the money on the ink, which by the way costs more than the printer did. So unbeknownst to me my software update contained a block for 3rd part ink. I was not a happy camper! None of my ink would work and before I knew why I had opened 3 cartridges, ruining them because they dry out if not used. I tried to reseal but it did not work. I downgraded the software, it took hours of uninstalling and re-installing, only got it working again because I had the old firmware in my downloads from last year as they removed the older version from their website. I will never, ever buy this brand again. I went out and bought a new printer, a brother and so far no issues. It is a solid printer and I got a good deal on it. I think I am sticking with brother as I have had no issues with 3rd party ink but also the ink for my brother printer is reasonable so I do not spend much on their ink, one XXL catridge is $15 and that to me is a great price. The model I got is MFC-J485DW and I have had it almost a year, I use it at work and print allot, it has worked without issue and I have used both brand ink and a number of 3rd party and find the brand to be better as far as quality and lasting the longest. So I tend to buy brother ink. Anyhow, I added this because I like to back good products and my epson printer was a headache I did not need. Done with the brand for good. It was a poor choice on their part as I am sure I am not the only customer who will not be recurring! The printer itself was okay, I have never gotten the wireless to work properly on the Epson, my new brother printer works out of the box without issue. My advice to Epson, charge less for ink and more for the printer, I would prefer to pay more for my printer and then have ink that is affordable, please fix the wireless printing set up, I am good with computer related items and I could not get it working.

Absolute rubbish

The faceless big business who offer lots and fulfil on very little. If they were a small company treating their client's ion this way they would fold. They have no idea what they are doing. They ask lots of questions, get you to reboot stuff which disconnects you from them, its a win-win for them, chat over, or they link you to a webpage which is next to useless. They take an age to respond and when they do they take an age to answer the simplest of questions. It is always the fault of something else, never the printer. I sorted the fault myself and yet having bought several of these machines for my company I expect better business support.

Epson Printer XP-330

Even though this printer is cheap, save your money and buy a different one. I don’t recommend the epson printers at all, but especially not this one. It eats ink, no matter what setting it is on. The print lines will never be clear and gap-less regardless of how many times you align it. If you are using paper that’s of ANY kind, nothing will print 100% clearly on it. It says it’s wireless and it took me 4 days and 3 different specialists on the phone to set up the wireless aspect, and once I moved I had to do the entire process again. No matter what you are trying to print, it will not be a clear or quality level image or text. Even if you do change the print quality to best quality. It is a very frustrating printer and I can not wait to save my money and buy from a different brand. Again, I’ve tested many epson products, and even though they all perform sub-par, this one is the absolute worst. Please please save your money and save yourself from the headache I’ve dealt with for 2 YEARS (yeah I’ve only had it 2 years)

There is not enough room for all the problems, you cause we seniors, I guess you have 24hr. shifts to control our equipment?

Use the mixed colored inks in backgrounds when it should be white Print one page when the direction given was to print all. Shift to mini printing when we do not change the size. If it is a political joke you fail to print it. Enter print and when you print it you recopy a previous copy. I could go on, I think you have stock in the paper as well as the ink Print 25 pages black and now you add gray?? so you copy in gray even tho we check black we have to reprint. naturally using more You cut me off, but I am back
