Warranty does not inform property and printed is junk
Epson all in one XP-600 - Purchased May, 2013 - First of all, it drinks ink like it is free. Although the quality of the printing was never great, within five months it was printing worse. After cleaning the head and doing the nozzle check several times, the printer was printing only in red. I contacted online support, told them what the problem was and what I had done. They told me to clean the head and do a nozzle check again. So I did that. Didn't work. By now, I am almost out of black ink in a brand new Epson cartridge although I had not printed hardly anything. They then told me I could get a replacement. So I called and went through that process. Then I learned that in order for them to send me a replacement, I had to have a "hold" put on my credit card for the cost of the printer which they would then *** once I returned the defective unit in SEVEN days of receiving the new one. Now, under the provisions of the warranty, it states that "Epson requires a debit or credit card number to secure the cost of the replacement printer in the event that you fail to return the defective one" within "FIVE working days." It does not say that a charge will be made immediately and then removed. I have to trust them to provide a brand new replacement within 2 to 7 days and remove the charge when I return the old one, but there is no trust on the part of the company that sold this piece of junk.

EPSON'S PRINTER CARTRIDGES POORLY, LOWLY FILLED!
I AGREE with several other consumers whole heartly! EPSON CARTRIDGES (200) for the ALL-IN-ONE PRINTER (WF-2540) is a big joke! It doesn't make any sense that EPSON would "purposely" design a printer cartridge that would make the customer (via word of mouth) tell others NOT to buy their product (printers). Unfortunately, THAT'S WHAT I'M GOING TO DO!!! My goal is to let as many CONSUMERS as possible know "exactly" how many cartridges it will take to make these "pricey-poorly-filled" cartridges last for a few "modest" printing jobs. I use to own a Kodak Printer (after approx. 9 yrs.) it finally broke from wear & tear. Unfortunately, I didn't buy another KODAK BRAND...I thought I'd give the EPSON BRAND Printer a try since it was on sale. I regret that I did! EPSON PRINTERS blow through that little ink in them in no time. In the future I will NOT PURCHASE an EPSON BRAND PRINTER (I don't care how low the sale price is)...their company will get you in the purse for all those ink cartridges you will have to purchase just to get modest printing jobs done. Don't even think about using a "generic" brand ink cartridge in their printers...it will FLASH a WARNING sign across the display panel stating that the "cartridge is not recognized" "OR" it will state Please add a new Epson Cartridge! Additionally, EPSON rig their PRINTERS to only ACCEPT the "initial" set-up cartridges when you FIRST use the printer. I "misplaced" my initial set-up cartridges and just decided to purchase new ones to get my printing project done...little did I know that when I FOUND the "initial" cartridges...that the EPSON PRINTER would "REJECT" them! What kind of company purposely "set-up" their printer devices to do this! My family & associates at work suggested that I go to every social network site (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, YEP, MySpace, Pissed Consumer, blogs, etc.) and "spread the word" about EPSON's Printers & it's "lowly-filled" ink cartridges and additionally let others know about how EPSON places a "micro-chip" on its product (ink cartridges) so that you CAN NOT HAVE THE OPTION TO REFILL or PURCHASE generic brand ink cartridges to use in their printers. That little CHIP is their way of "forcing" consumers to EXCLUSIVELY PURCHASE their highly priced cartridges. I'm definitely going to ask a few of my EGGHEAD(engineer/Tech)friends if they know "how" to OVER-RIDE that *** micro chip! ;-D At these sites I can reach many consumers! I feel that it is my responsibility as a consumer to WARN as many people as possible regarding EPSON INK CARTRIDGES. If my action as a concerned consumer can get the attention of EPSON regarding their ink cartridges due to their "printer sales" DROPPING...then I have successfully reached the MASSES and had a chance to "voice" my opinion concerning the poorly-filled ink cartridges.

30 day warranty nonsense
Bought a WF7510..let it sit in box while out of state and finally got around to using it after 50+ days. Didnt work well at all and after a week stopped all together. Technical support agreed to send a replacement. Sent a refurbished unit vs my brand new unit. Called for a RTA number and got the 30 day warranty nonsense. This smells like fraud using an arbitary 30 days from shipping or purchase to justify selling *** equipment and then not backing it up with similar new goods. I have purchased Epson products for 30 years but never again. Was looking at the R3000 and above. Will look elsewhere. Disappointment and inflexible sales people.

Highly dissatisfactory customer service and poor quality product
I bought a printer from epson, L100 model, from very beginning it demanded servicing every alternate month and the very next day of its warranty getting over, they blocked its printing skiing for servicing costing 500rs. I was agreeable to that also, but the customer servicing is so poor, u have to keep calling them, requesting them to send a support staff however, no one turns up, despite promising several days, the support staff is sooo rude and unmannered, they disconnect phons on the face, give no reference no. of complaint and are not at all supportive of helping the clients problem. Worst printers to buy in terms of after purchase servicing.

Epson WP-4530
Basicly are a huge steaming pile of excrement... We are on our 7th one. And yes I said 7th. The first one lasted a about 4 months. Then the pink print head went bad. We had to give the customer service guy a CC# so he would send us another one. A REFURBISHED one by the way. When they say refurbished products could have cosmetic blemishes? I wonder if they meant the huge unsightly scratches down the front of our replacement? The second lasted a week then died out right. My time is worth about $80 an hour. I have spent at least 45-50 ours messing with this. The other folks I know have Brother. They seem to work well. We are borrowing a 5 year old printer right now and it works fantasticly.

Must have color ink in carts in order to print in black-only.
From our email to Epson: We bought printer a few months ago. First cartridge did not last long, but we figured it was just a starter. Second one, #124 lasted about 2 weeks with well under the 200-300 black pages we should have gotten. We bought another which then would not work at all. After spending a long time on the phone, we were told that it will not work if one or more COLOR carts are low. This is NOT what is stated online or on the instructions with the printer. It states that even if a color cart is "expended" that you can print black by selecting Plain Paper and Black Ink/Grayscale. On the phone a supervisor told me that is not the case. She is sending some color carts, but now we always have to be mindful of the color levels and be forced to buy color that we would not otherwise need. We have owned several printers and NEVER had one that would not print black when the color was low or out. This is a poor feature that you make even worse by your erroneous instructions. [It's been 2 weeks and have not received the color carts]

EPSON GOREGAON SERVICE CENTRE BAD
I PURCHASED FROM BIG BAZAR A EPSON ALL IN ONE PRINTER IN MAR 2102 WHICH STARTED GIVING THE TROUBLES FROM BEGINNING. IN 6 MONTHS TIME, BLANK PAGES STARTED TO PRINT SO REPLACED THE CARTRIDGES. SAME PROBLEM REPEATED IN 2 MONTHS, CALLED THE SERVICE AGENT WHO TOOK THE PRINTER, ORIGINAL BILL & WARRANTY CARD. SINCE 12TH DEC 2012, EPSON SERVICE CENTRE IN GOREGAON MUMBAI (ALKA) HAS JUST BEEN PROLONGING THE REPAIR. HEAD OF THE PRINTER NEEDS REPLACEMENT. SOMETIMES THE EXCUSE IS THAT THE BILL IS MISPLACED, OTHER TIMES THE WARRANTY SEEMS TO BE OVER ETC. ETC. IT IS A VERY BAD AFTER SALES SERVICE. A BIG NO TO EPSON PRINTERS

Printer dead for good after 4 years
My Epson Artisan 700 printer is just 4 years old, but apparently Epson has figured this to be long enough for their planned obsolescence to kick in. I received an error message from my printer saying: your ink pads are nearing the end of their service life. I tried contacting customer (HAHA!) service, and was told you are out of luck. Take your printer to one of our "service locations", each about an hours drive away (and I live in a major city, btw) want to ship instead? Well, those printers are heavy...how much do you think that will run you? Anyway, my choices are: drive/mail my prointer in to be repaired..prob looking at AT LEAST 100.00, OR buy a new printer. GUESS WHICH COMPANY WILL NEVER SEE MY BUSINESS AGAIN??? EPSON...YOU SUCK!!!!!

Epson printers suck!
I purchased an epson printer over a month ago and it has never worked correctly. I have to turn it on and then turn it off to get it to work. And it won't print properly even with new catridges! It is suppose to work wirelessly and doesn't, I have to waste page after page of paper in the hopes that it figures out it's issue and prints a full page. This printer is brand new and I'm going to have to spend money on a new printer again! I should have stuck with my old HP.

Epson printers SUCK!!
I have the Workforce 40 which I bought because it is wireless. Well, I bought a new router and now the printer doesn't work after following all the *** instructions on the Epson website. Their help on their site is absolutely worthless. Of course they don't have an 800 number and the number listed only works during certain hours Monday - Friday. I emailed their technical support. Well, they did get back to me, but what they sent me was literally copied and pasted from one of the first levels of help from their website. So, they're lazy, they rip you off, and their products suck. I can't wait for them to go out of business. I URGE EVERYONE TO NOT BUY EPSON PRODUCTS.

Epson has lost a customre
The Artisan 800 is an ink hog that perpetuates their ink sales. Decent AIO but costs me about $600 in ink (4 refills). Well no more, I got a new Brother Laser Printer B&W that will run off about 2000 sheets before needing a $40 toner replacement cartridge. I don't understand how Epson uses color cartridges for B&W printing, makes no sense. Epson: You screwed yourself, not only did you lose a customer for your products, but ink as well. I'll never buy another one of your products and I'll tell as many of my friends as I can when they're thinking of changing printers.

Epson specializes in customer "no service"
Long story. I have multiple Epson printers in my small business. Their customer no service department wasted weeks of my time -- sending me a printer cartridge to see if there was "really a problem". When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was first of all told they didn't want to speak to me. I was put thru only after I told them I was going to post this complaint. However, her mantra was the same. It was all about the company's policy; nothing about the customer's needs. As I told her, it must be nice to be big enough that your customers are unimportant.
