Epson has ya by the balls all ways. Cartridges BIG ripoff.

Bought new cartridges 4 disappeared in 4 days. The black only showed about fifty percent. Easy to figure out why my WF-4740 was discounted they make ya buy only their cartridges at an unreasonable price. A set of cartridges not far from what i paid for the printer.

Give ya credit Epson your pros at customer ripoff and obviously Epson could care less. If by chance ya have the courage to email me im at loubierman@***.net, If ya email me from what ive learned about epson ill probably fall of my chair.

1st time user of Epson WorkForce WF-7710

I have used HP all in one printer for years, and after looking at different reviews, I decided to purchase this Epson unit,,,BIG MISTAKE!!!! If I could have one wish right now, is that EPSON would take this unit back,,HORRIBLE. #1. Cannot receive faxes, had to have the Geek squad out, paid too much $$$ for them and still no faxes. My fax number can not be recognized in this stupid unit. #2. When my phone rings, the HP identified the telephone number in the view finder, not EPSON. #2. The ink cartridges empty too too too fast!!! #3. To attach a document, and figure out the procedure, was horrible. #4. DO NOT LIKE EPSON WF7710..PLEASE TAKE IT BACK, GIVE ME MY $$$ BACK, SO I CAN BUY AN HP UNIT. #5. No specials on cartridges at Office Max, Staples or other stores, like HP offers. This unit is unacceptable in my world Please return your comment Epson.

I too am a former EPSON printer owner! While we were on vacation for 6 weeks, the newly installed and highly expensive EPSON ink cartridges dried out (we live in arid Arizona).

We purchased after market cartridges for less than 1/2 the price. We printed a half dozen sheets before my husband updated the firmware as recommended by EPSON. You know the results! "Cartridges not recognized"!!!

After doing everything to "trick" the printer into accepting the cartridges, I found PissedOff. Yes! I too am pissed off! We thought about using the Epson printer as an anchor for our boat, but decided to return it to Costco (per the recommendation of one of the employees) and explain our disappointment and why (firmware).

It would be my hope that Costco reconsider their stocking Epson products if enough people complain and return their trash printers. Hit Epson in the pockets!

Letter to the CEO

Dear Mr Kratzberg (CEO), You got me. As a fairly loyal Epson printer customer, I fell for your latest firmware update that promised to improve my security. I wasn’t quite expecting that the security in question was that of your highly coveted ink revenue. I now own a bricked product with your company name on it, with no way to revert back to the previous working firmware version, waiting for me to go out a purchase $150 of Epson ink so that I can resume printing. Sorta reminds me of the extortion hackers that locked up computer access until you paid their ransom demands. I just can’t think of a better way for you to help out your competitors. So, rather than spend the $150 on the ink I have decided to just buy another non-Epson printer. I am sending back my bricked Epson printer to you. I am hoping that you will give it to the executives that sold you on this fantastic idea, for print out their updated resumes; after of course, installing your special Epson security safe ink. Former Epson Customer,

Print Cartridges No Longer Working

I just read that there is a class-action suit regarding your latest firmware update. Here's the downside to your stupid decision that limited printer cartridges to EPSON alone... You'll pay dearly in settling your lawsuit, plus, nobody is going to buy your printers and cartridges anymore. I have four printers that are going straight in the garbage tomorrow. Time to visit Costco and Sams Club and buy ANYTHING but Epson. Dumb decision. Whose idea was that?

Epsons raw greed

Purchased an Epson printer and because they changed the game I can no longer use it unless I buy overpriced Epson ink. They updated the firmware without telling me about the change. Raw greed.

My 3rd party inks have been throttled by the new Epson update.

I'm going to throw my printers in the garbage and buy from another brand. with the new update, there is an error message saying that the printer doesn't recognize the ink and now my print quality has gone down. it is evident that is done on purpose and with malicious intent.

Expensive paperweight

After a firmware update the printer no longer recognizes the ink cartridges it was printing from. Not replacing the expensive ink cartridges. Cheaper to buy a better printer, the first day a pin holding the paper for the sheet feeder was broken. I should have returned it then.

Same problem after last firmware update. All new ink cartridges and still barely prints a few lines on the paper.

Ran all the troubleshooting.

Check nozzles, align head, clean nozzle, etc. JUNK!!

Malicious firmware no better than adware or spyware.

I am so disgusted with Epson right now. I purchased my Epson 446 printer. I purchased my ink. In no way should Epson be able to lock up my printer because I choose to use re-purposed ink cartridges. I bought this printer because I am a Girl Scout Leader/Volunteer who wears many hats. I need a printer that will hold up. I also need a printer for some small home jobs too. I was in the middle of a print job and locked up because I decided to run the firmware update and now it will not recognize my ink. I wasted money buying this printer because now I cannot do anything with it. I just purchased $50+ in ink. I will not be forced to use Epson ink. I will go buy a new printer, and I will never recommend or buy another Epson product.

Horrible Customer Service

Although the Epson website states that purchases are shipped via Fed Ex making a buyer feel secure with delivery, it has come to my attention that Fed Ex only picks up from the warehouse and then it drops off to the US Post Office which is a horror to deal with. Indeed the ink I ordered never arrived and it has been a hassle. Epson takes 3 days to research the problem and then YOU have to call them back for an answer. Epson will not contact you back when they find a solution. I am now in the waiting period with no ink and and getting back logged with copies needing printing. There is no store near me in a rural area. My suggestion is to spend a few more dollars and use a reputable company which uses only Fed Ex or UPS for delivery. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Epson 4105 slow, ink guzzler

Brand new printer. I used up the included ink so replace it with new cartridges. It's going to lock me out now because the magenta which I replaced yesterday is showing that it's going empty!!! I printed about 5 pages! I've had an Epson xp830 which I could use for at least one month with the amount of printing I do!! The new black ink cartridge cost $43! I promised myself I would not buy another epson but it was an emergency buy for business in a small town with limited options. Wrong!! I should have gone back to a Canon printer which I've had in the past!!! This is extremely a slow, cheap plastic expensive to operate unit! I will never purchase an epson again!

WF-2750 should be called WTF - 2750

This Epson Workforce 2750 inkjet printer is a disaster from every standpoint... First off we had the Epson WF 630 and it was acceptable. It was at least intuitive and fairly reliable. This 2750 model is nothing but problems. This printer is not user friendly at all....
