WorkForce Epson WorkForce 7610 - Stay Away

Upon purchasing this machine, I had high hopes because of the new technology that was touted regarding this printer. It's not exactly a user friendly machine, but I was willing to work with it. The problem was that with all its fancy bells and whistles - it would not make a simple copy without the user having to "fool" the machine. It kept giving me an error message that said "paper was ejected." What I had to do was submit a paper in the manual feed before it would consider taking it from the normal paper cassette. When I called Epson about the problem, they immediately referred me to a tech. Apparently, I am 7 days outside the 30 day customer satisfaction window. So, they agreed to allowing me to return the machine ("just this one time"), with the caveat of me picking up the shipping charges. Translation: Even if this machine is a lemon, we could care less about you as a customer. Buyer Beware.

Same thing is happening to me this very instant, Ive just finished installing it. The people at Staples say you can return it before 15 days, the problem is !I DON'T HAVE *** TIME! This was a total waste of valuable time!

If Epson paid for the return shipping, I would consider that GOOD and DECENT customer service. To deny a customer return shipping charges because its 37 days instead of 30 is a case of Customer Neglect and lack of care.

XP 410 will not print from internet or files

Just like a smart phone, this printer will do everything but make a phone call or print in this case. It may not even do all the other things on it's menu, but I will never find out. I want to print a page from the internet or a file and it will not do it. This is what I bought it for --- to be a PRINTER. All it wants to do is be my friend and let me know it is wi fi ready, although not really! What a waste of money. Although it is now in about 5oo pieces and I am feeling somewhat better about the tech *** being sold on the market lately, I will never buy another Epson product --- EVER.

Epson XP-810 uses ink like crazy.

First of all, if I had known that Epson is owned by Seiko, I would never have bought this printer. Secondly, although the black ink was used up pretty fast from the beginning, since the latest firmware "upgrade", black ink cartridges are now completely used up in ONE DAY of normal printing. Although I have not made a totally accurate count, it appears that the LARGE black ink cartridge is good for, maybe, 100 pages. At $12.99 each from Office Depot, that works out to just short of $0.13/page for ink alone. Epson/Seiko are a bunch of thieves, and I will NEVER, EVER buy another Epson/Seiko product again. I intend to also submit a formal complaint to Office Depot about this issue. Although I am a regular customer at Office Depot, and have been for a number of years, I am seriously considering switching my allegiance to a different office supply company. Epson/Seiko can go to ***.

Epson stylus C88+. What a Piece of ***!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased an Epson stylus C88+ about one year ago; I have never been so disappointed with a product in my life! (1). the paper feeder does not pull the paper in straight, so you can never print true. (2). the ink jets are constantly clogging up (unbelievable). (3) It has a hard time managing colors correctly on any setting. So here it sits on my desk as a paper weight! I purchased an HP Office jet pro 8600 plus, excellent printer, absolutely no problems, love it! I owned an Epson stylus 860; it was the best printer I ever used, until it broke after 8 years. So in conclusion, Epson printers are not what they used to be, poor quality, and just out for profits, and living off their past reputation! DON’T ever buy any Epson product!!!!!!!

*** epson ..doesnt print black only when one of the other color cartridge is empty

it's so annoying...I just bought a black cartridge but the printer not allowing me to print even black only as one of the other three cartridges is empty. I have on nx430 stylus. Had I known this issue before, I would have never bought this printer. Epson should familiarize buyers beforehand of this shortcoming before selling their printers. I feel like I have just wasted $23 for buying the black cartridge and not to mention the cost of this dumb Epson Printer itself. No more buying of any products from Epson. I don't trust this company any longer.

Ink cartridges cannot be recognised

Just bought a new set of ink cartridges because the last set 'were unable to be recognised'. Replaced the old with the new (even though the old hadn't been used before either) and the same messaged is displayed when trying to print a page. Thats $ 120 or so on ink cartridges without a page being printed. I purchased the Epson printer 1 year ago when i needed a printer every morning everyday for a month and now the that time has come again. Last time i was able to have a friend print off my papers for me to troubleshoot. It would be nice to have a printer that does its job as a toaster toasts bread.

Defective machines

Epson XP 810 is a disaster. I have had 2 replacement machines after the first worked for only 4 months. The second replacement could never be connected to a computer the third has failed after 2 days after being connected and unlike the first is using or showing ink being used at an impossible pace - 10 pages for a black cartridge and now half used color cartridges although there has been almost no color printing - only on margins of a small number of pages. Have also had false messages - e.g. that the paper size is incorrect in the midst of printing an article although the paper is the same as has been printed. The service people for the most part have been responsive although it takes a long time 1.5 and now 1 hour to resolve the problem as to why it is not printing though connected to a computer although the Epson tag says it is not connected.

Ink gauging scam - horrible product

The ink runs out WAY too soon and then the printer locks up until you go buy more of whatever color is out. There is NO option to just use the black in to print in greyscale. It's very noisy and the display 'help' lacks any specific information. Now, after surfing the web a bit to vent my displeasure I'm seeing that they have been sued for this ink scam. Yes, it did make copies and did print things....for a while. But I would highly recommend you never waste your time and money with Espon printers. There are too many other reputable brands like Dell.

I am having the exact same problem, though my printer driver does appear to give the option of B/W printing ... but it still won't print. I've emailed Epson (which doesn't even have a consumer support tab on it's web site) and I would like a refund for purchasing this HORRIBLE, worst ever, printer.

My all in one (WiFi, scanner, copier, fax, printer) Epson Artisan 800 stopped working, because it stated that the printer's parts (waste ink pads) reached the end of their "service life". Upon researching I found a reset utility (provided by Epson) that allowed me to...

$400 piece of junk made by Epson

I bought Aristan 1430 hoping to print some large format pictures. After 14 months and printing less than 200 pages waste ink has to be replaced (so said printer) and does not allow me to print anything. Old models had reset utility, but not this one, and the customer service is a *** joke. I refuse to paid for the repair plus the shipping cost to fix what was free before. They got greedy on inks, service and product providing cheap junk to loyal consumers. I hope they will go out of business soon. I was a big fan of Epson for years but from now on EPSON ID DEAD TO ME.

Epson ink cartridge scam

Will never buy an Epson printer ever again. When one of the many ink cartridges are out the printer is in effect "dead" and will not let you print unless you replace the cartridge. Even if you have a full black cartridge. I wish I would have known this when buying the printer as I would have bought a different brand. I will let everyone I know about this and suggest they buy other printer brands instead. To top it all off there is no customer relations email address (that I saw) to let Epson know that you are pissed. Not a happy customer!

Warranty does not inform property and printed is junk

Epson all in one XP-600 - Purchased May, 2013 - First of all, it drinks ink like it is free. Although the quality of the printing was never great, within five months it was printing worse. After cleaning the head and doing the nozzle check several times, the printer was printing only in red. I contacted online support, told them what the problem was and what I had done. They told me to clean the head and do a nozzle check again. So I did that. Didn't work. By now, I am almost out of black ink in a brand new Epson cartridge although I had not printed hardly anything. They then told me I could get a replacement. So I called and went through that process. Then I learned that in order for them to send me a replacement, I had to have a "hold" put on my credit card for the cost of the printer which they would then *** once I returned the defective unit in SEVEN days of receiving the new one. Now, under the provisions of the warranty, it states that "Epson requires a debit or credit card number to secure the cost of the replacement printer in the event that you fail to return the defective one" within "FIVE working days." It does not say that a charge will be made immediately and then removed. I have to trust them to provide a brand new replacement within 2 to 7 days and remove the charge when I return the old one, but there is no trust on the part of the company that sold this piece of junk.

EPSON'S PRINTER CARTRIDGES POORLY, LOWLY FILLED!

I AGREE with several other consumers whole heartly! EPSON CARTRIDGES (200) for the ALL-IN-ONE PRINTER (WF-2540) is a big joke! It doesn't make any sense that EPSON would "purposely" design a printer cartridge that would make the customer (via word of mouth) tell others NOT to buy their product (printers). Unfortunately, THAT'S WHAT I'M GOING TO DO!!! My goal is to let as many CONSUMERS as possible know "exactly" how many cartridges it will take to make these "pricey-poorly-filled" cartridges last for a few "modest" printing jobs. I use to own a Kodak Printer (after approx. 9 yrs.) it finally broke from wear & tear. Unfortunately, I didn't buy another KODAK BRAND...I thought I'd give the EPSON BRAND Printer a try since it was on sale. I regret that I did! EPSON PRINTERS blow through that little ink in them in no time. In the future I will NOT PURCHASE an EPSON BRAND PRINTER (I don't care how low the sale price is)...their company will get you in the purse for all those ink cartridges you will have to purchase just to get modest printing jobs done. Don't even think about using a "generic" brand ink cartridge in their printers...it will FLASH a WARNING sign across the display panel stating that the "cartridge is not recognized" "OR" it will state Please add a new Epson Cartridge! Additionally, EPSON rig their PRINTERS to only ACCEPT the "initial" set-up cartridges when you FIRST use the printer. I "misplaced" my initial set-up cartridges and just decided to purchase new ones to get my printing project done...little did I know that when I FOUND the "initial" cartridges...that the EPSON PRINTER would "REJECT" them! What kind of company purposely "set-up" their printer devices to do this! My family & associates at work suggested that I go to every social network site (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, YEP, MySpace, Pissed Consumer, blogs, etc.) and "spread the word" about EPSON's Printers & it's "lowly-filled" ink cartridges and additionally let others know about how EPSON places a "micro-chip" on its product (ink cartridges) so that you CAN NOT HAVE THE OPTION TO REFILL or PURCHASE generic brand ink cartridges to use in their printers. That little CHIP is their way of "forcing" consumers to EXCLUSIVELY PURCHASE their highly priced cartridges. I'm definitely going to ask a few of my EGGHEAD(engineer/Tech)friends if they know "how" to OVER-RIDE that *** micro chip! ;-D At these sites I can reach many consumers! I feel that it is my responsibility as a consumer to WARN as many people as possible regarding EPSON INK CARTRIDGES. If my action as a concerned consumer can get the attention of EPSON regarding their ink cartridges due to their "printer sales" DROPPING...then I have successfully reached the MASSES and had a chance to "voice" my opinion concerning the poorly-filled ink cartridges.
