Epson XP- printer--big mistake

By designing the XP-printer to shut down if one of its ink cartridges is low is a big marketing mistake. You got me in buying one of your printers but I, and many of my friend, will never buy another Epson product. If your CEO is that dishonest and sneaky, one has to believe he is not capable of offering a good product at competitive prices. Worked 3 months. Ink don't last. At ink change either error code 0x9d or ink change message is popping up. You cannot get out. It's not the cable it scans ok. Tested with multiple printer same issue. What's worst is at purchase no one tell you tech support is not toll...

I'm in the same boat and this sinking *** is no fun - I have the WF-7620 so I went on the higher end side of the capabilities for 11x17 half sized engineering plots. I had a Brother *** out on me before and decide to never recover from a basic paper jam.

This is ridiculous. Does no one make affordable 11x17 printers/scanners that actually last? Tired of the printer revolving door.

I really loved the printer until all of this started over 6 months ago. It actually worked again for a bit - enough to bleed me of new ink purchases then it went back to the 0x9d error.

WF-7620

Bought a new WF-7620 at Staples in Napperville, IL off route 59. Salesmen strongly suggested I also buy the XL ink package for another $60.00. Have gone through the starter ink without printing a single page of anything. The same clerk at the Staples suggested installing the XL size ink kit. SO I did and are nearly out of ink and still cannot print anything. Taking back to staples tomorrow and expect to get the printer replaced and a full set of ink (XL) If they want to put yet another Epson off onto me I will insist they set it up and print with it there. I quit using epson several years ago and went to Brother, but; bought one from Staples and it did not work and the size I needed was only available in the Epson 7620. Should have waited for them to order in the Brother most likely would have been quicker and cheaper.

Never buy an epson printer

I have printed probably about 5 times since buying this printer. The first time I ran out of ink. After printing a contract. I bought a new set of ink, probably spent about 50.00 dollars, yesterday and I am out of ink already. I printed only 4 times on it and not any thing lengthy, some recipes on index cards. I am out of ink already in one day. This is a piece of *** printer. I have never reviewed anything but felt I had to to deter people from spending money on this. Do not buy this. You are better off purchasing a printer that uses a toner cartridge. I know its a bit expensive but it is cost effective. Do not buy an Epson if you don't want to be spending 50 bucks 2x a week.

Always a "Software Update" and it still never works

Had a Epson 3000 for years, it finally stopped working because Epson chose not to update the drivers for new operating system. Got a new Epson Artisan 1430 - needed something to tile logos on 11x 17 paper. Box says it will do it. Two printers later, (Yes, I sent them back after the Techs couldn't fix the problem over the phone), I find I'm now out of waurentee, and it has still, to this day, not been able to print an 11 x17 page of paper. Thanks Epson for promising, and NEVER delivering. Tech have claimed the problem was the paper was Plain instead of Glossy. Techs have claimed it was the computer, (Changed out computer, and even bought a new one, still didn't work). Techs have claimed it Always needs to be updated software. Techs don't know ***!

Unreliable printing

Nx430 is the worst printer i ever purchased. print either does not print or get unreadable results. I did all maintenance and changed all ink cartridges to no avail several times. once a new black cartridge was defective. I'm throwing this one away and very leary about getting another Epson of any model. I liked it for it's size but if it don't print then it's just a piece of junk to me. i'll probably look at Brother, hp, cannon for my next printer. sorry to leave Epson but i have no choice. i wasted too much paper and tired of troubleshooting with no results.

Epson Projector Ex 51 Review from Ringgold, Georgia

First I wanted to be said I've been at Epson customer for 20 years. I have an ex 51 Epson projector. The easiest fan to replace is a fan Epson says the consumer is not to replace. It's the only fan not bolted in where you don't have to remove any electronics to replace and it's the only fan that cools the lamp. Epson can not give me a part number on it. I will never purchase an Epson product ever again. I would not recommend Epson to anyone. I truly hope this cost Epson so much money that they would have wished they would have just sent me a new projector or at least just giving me the number

EPSON used to make excellent Photo Quality printers, but IMHO, not any more

Up until this afternoon I'd fight a chain saw to get an Epson Printer. Almost two years ago while I was out with a shattered kneecap, my Epson 1400 printer almost literally went up in smoke. In a bind for a printer we replaced it with a Brother multi function printer that had 2 paper cassettes, and Scanner, Copy, Fax capability. I decided on Brother primarily because I regularly need to print on 8.5 x 11 letter size paper, and then 11 x 17" Tabloid size paper. At first I could not get the printer to work automatically with both paper types, but 15 or 20 minutes with a Brother Tech Support person, and downloading a new version of the printer driver had me up and running like I thought the printer should run. When we get heavily into design mode it is not unusual to run through a lot of ink, and a ream of paper can have a lifespan figured in fractions of a day, I'm sure that had a great deal to do with the Brother giving up the Ghost 10 days ago. Since I had a History of Good good luck with Epson for almost 20 years and, when I saw an Epson Work Force 7620, an All in One with many Whistles, and Bells, and 2 paper cassettes in the local Office Depot I didn't hesitate to get it, looking forward to Quality print on multiple paper sizes again. Once the 7620 was on my table I went about setting the paper sizes for the 2 cassettes, but could not get the printer to pick a paper size based on the document size specified in my design program. After my experience with BrotherI was sure a call to Epson Tech Support would be another 15-20 minute conversation.NO such luck. After hearing the same sob story from two semi warm bodies in Tech Support, that basically told me Epson was no longer smart enough to have their printers Auto Select paper size based on the size of the document on my computers desktop. In desperation I talked to "Joe" in Customer relations, hoping to hear a different story. What a pipe dream, he was less help than the first two. He made a half hearted excuse, and apology for my problems, but didn't seem to care if the printer worked or not, or even if I took it back to Office Depot, got my money back, and bought a competitors printer. IMHO Epson once had "Fine" printers, and Tech support people that "Gave a Damnm" about customer satisfaction and loyalty. Now it appears that after you lay down BIG BUCKS for a printer, if you are satisfied that's good, if you are unhappy they just don't give a ***! They're too big for one complaint to bother them. I hate to do this to the nice folks at Office Depot, but If I'm still within the return, No questions asked period, this Worthless Workless Force 7620 will be boxed up and in Office Depot's storeroom by noon tomorrow.

Constantly in need of repair

Epson printers are horrible. My Espon Artison printer is constantly giving error messages. Called the company. They were not going to cover the cost of repair. They offered a 15% discount on the purchase of another Epson. Why in the world would I buy another Epson? They are lemons. The ink costs are astronomical and the printer constantly is telling me I am low on ink! It constantly tells me there are printer jams when there are none. It now has stopped working completely!! It is only 2 years old!! I understand that there has to be a limit to warranties. But they have to come up with better solutions. AVOID EPSON PRODUCTS!!

Changes firmware to detect after market ink. DESTROYS!

Printer worked well with after market cartridges, not best quality but passable. Then, Epson kept telling me that I must download new "firmware." BIG MISTAKE! This is malware, designed to ferret out non epson cartridges, and, after a warning, to ruin your prints. Run away! This is your warning. If you buy, prepare to pay Exhorbitant prices for Epson ink, or throw the printer out. Ink is what they make their money on, printers are just sold to dispense their expensive ink. Hundred words, just to explain how the thieves are trying to rip us off. Listen up! Run very far from these printers.

Epson's GS6000 printers and services are DOA.

We made the mistake of buying 2 of them. From day one we had nothing but head strikes. The other problem but not the only was color shift, panel # one color didn't match panel two. No body from Epson has any idea why it does this. Head strikes consume 50% of our material, not to mention their high price inks at @***.oo / liter. their method of repairing a printer is the trial and error method, of coarse you pay for it too. While their repair group is trialing and erroring you are shut down making no money. I could add more thru *** circus of none productive printer repair attemps that fixed nothing. I wouldn't recommend an Epson wide format printer to my worst enemy. The Epson printers and service have the plague, stay away from them. We have yet to hear from Epson why all the head strikes or color shift. Our second printer is still not repaired.
