Epson Scanner does not work
I own an Epson Perfection V500 Photo Scanner. The scanner is about 15 months old with very, very light use and it no longer works at all. On April 26, 2010 Epson's call center in a foreign country suggested that I take the scanner to a service center 40 miles away with all charges being my responsibility. The call center connected me with a person named "Burn" who suggested I use the password of "smell" to get a $20.00 discount on a new scanner. The password "smell" becomes invalid in 4 days on April 30th. I thought the password choice was worth a personal chuckle. How silly and ironic can they be? I was told corporate chooses the passwords. How appropriate! Avoid Epson.
EPSON; A company that doesn't care
The first (only) Epson product I ever purchased was a Workforce 600 all-in-one wireless printer that worked great for 10 months. Then the black ink would not print. Within the Epson warranty period and after emails and telephone calls to customer service (in Malaysia) they said would replace he printer. Within 5 days came the Epson printer box, containing a used, scratched, marred re-furbished printer covered in fingerprints. To my dismay, I set it up following the on screen instructions AND...............You guessed it, it would not work and was broken also. I called back to Epsons so called service department to complain and request a NEW printer, but (MJ) stated the service department will only send what they have in stock and that there are no new printers in the warehouse. After expressing my dismay (professionally - no rude/foul language) MJ stated that a 10 month old printer (within warranty) is not new, so they cannot replace the printer with a new one. I then requested an up-grade, which he stated that Epson could not/would not do. I then requested my original price back from Epson, which.......you guessed it, they could not do. So, I agreed to accept yet another used/refurbished/scratched/marred/smudged printer just so I can print/scan/fax documents. Now having two Epson Workforce 600s (original & replacement) to return, there will not be a third. If this one doesn't work, I'm going to sue them in small claims court for the original price of the printer+ink+time+gas+headache fee. Apparently the only way to get service and satisfaction from a large corporation's in America is with a law suit...terrible.
Epson its wireless. Yeah right!!
I bought the workforce 600 wireless printer and for a while worked well. About 4 months ago the wireless part stopped working. I did all the possible changes nothing happen. I tried to contact customer service no success. I bought new ink and I bought a new router. I made it work for a little while with a USB, but now not even with that. I have a all-in-one printer less than a year and it is already bad. The printer works but no the wireless part that means every thing has to be save to a USB and then put directly in the printer. A lot of work. My Helmet Packard I had it for 7 years and it was as good as new when I throwed it away. My husband wanted a wireless printer. Wrong! Stay away from this product
Epson printers are such garbage. I've used multiple models ranging from all-in-one printers to standard printers. The print loses quality after a short time and this latest printer is *** me off even more... Fresh out of the box, one of the 6 ink cartridges doesn't work (magenta). I can't print anything (not even black and white) because this one cartridge does not work. Such BS. EPSON IS GARBAGE. Such large printers that eat up space, but don't even work well. So ***. I'm pissed because I need to print! *** EPSON PRINTERS!
Epson Rebate has given me the run-around about rebate
I purchaed a camera from Worf camera and the sales person said that they were running a deal that if you purchaed an Epson printer for $70, that they Epson would give you a rebate check for $70, so basically I would get a printer for the price of sales tax. I didn't need another printer, but what the heck. So now it's going on 6 months with phone call after phone call and fax after re-faxing them to get them to fulfill their end of the bargin. The manager there (Debbie G) has been left several messages, and of course refuses to retuen my phone calls. I had to contact someone at their corporate office and of course they said that the rebate center has my rebate and would send it out asap. That was over 5 weeks ago. I own my company and use several computers and printers and I will make it my life's blood never to purchase a single item from Epson.
Epson in Newark, New Jersey - Stylus Photo r380 died three times
I have an r380 and have been trying to get a third replacement for one month now. There services was awesome with the first two. What happened is 2 months after buying my printer the paper started to load to the left side of the printer. I called, we trouble shooted and then sent me a new one. After placing a 150.00 hold on my credit card I received the printer and set it up only to have issues with the free ink cartridges they sent me in the box with the printer. So I went out before calling them and bought $80.00 dollars worth of six new cartridges from staples. Just to have to call them to find out that the new unit sent to me was defective. Then after waiting another week they sent me another one, same model witch lasted two months. Then this printer which I still have loads to paper to the left as the first one did. I don't use the printer often but it is a key accessory for my business. We have now been on the phone for 1 month to get a replacement of a different model lower or higher than the one I have cause I can not take the chance of another one failing when my 1 year warranty is up in 3 months. What makes me made is one of the techs admitted that there is technical issues with the r380 model. So Now I still am out of a inkjet, interest on 150.00, and 80.00. I am pissed!!!!!!!!!!!! Dont buy epson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
