Epson in Fukuoka, Fukuoka Prefecture - The most ridiculous bizarre and frustrating problem ever

This has to be the stupidest most screwed up situation ever. I have a Japanese EPSON LP-M20. One of its "features" is that it will print and scan PDF files to, and from a memory stick. Sounds pretty standard right. But here is the rub. If I create a PDF on my PC and stick it on a memory stick, the printer tells me that it is an "unrecognised format" and wont print. It will *ONLY* print a PDF from memory stick if that PDF was created by scanning to memory stick from the M20 printer itself. A thorough read of the manual confirms this fact. What the ***??? Not only do the motivation behind this astound me, the fact that this was discussed implemented and programmed into my printer by several people without anyone saying "Why the *** would we do that". Luckily my small school has become profitable enough to lease a professional small office printer, so the EPSON is getting the thorough smashing it deserves very soon.

Have used my printer about 100 times and have owened my WF2540 for 19 months. Today I try to print all it will do is eject one page of paper then display "Out of Paper" I have tried to update the drivers the firm ware and reset the printers defaults. In every mode copy or print it does the same thing. All tech support tells me is it is out of warranty nothing we can do. But you can sent it to are service center for repair. At twice the cost of purchase! What a waste

Epson in Ansonia, Connecticut - Who designs this junk?

Ink spills out on my fingers but printer says cartridge is empty? Never before saw a printer that could not find its own ink supply *** design, needs color cartridges to print all black? I do not print a lot in color and cartridges are empty when I need them. No better than HP, Canon or Kodak. I have had all three in multiple models and they are all so poorly manufactured they cannot stand up to even a home office. Ink jet or laser, makes no difference except in purchase price. I wish I could say cloud printing is great, but it doesn't work well on my Epson printer which puts itself in the pause mode. REDESIGN THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE.

Just purchased this printer last week on the advice of Target employee. POrinter ink already out and when I replaced the ink, it says not compatible. then gives an error msg for a paper jam. what a total waste of time and money!!!!! then,m the cust svc tech gives me a direct number, not toll-free. really? worst customer svc ever. If target refuses to takie it back w/o refund, it goes in the trash. What a total waste of time and money. Epson should be ashamed for marketing such a poor product and for operating a second-rate call center. I am calling from the US....is it too much to ask that I receive quality service, instead of a third-rate Pakistani who cannot begin to help? Last time I buy Epson.

Epson in Stafford, Virginia - Lines on copies and scans

I called support about a problem that I was having, with every document that goes through the feeder the printer puts vertical lines straight down the documents. I have tried cleaning the rollers as suggestions by the manual to no success. Tech support was absolutely useless, they told me to contact a service center two hours away or purchase another printer through their loyalty program. This printer is only about a year old and if this is the best service that I can get out of an Epson printer I would not recommend that anyone purchase one of these printers. I use this printer for legal documents so I can't have lines in the documents.

By designing the XP-printer to shut down if one of its ink cartridges is low is a big marketing mistake. You got me in buying one of your printers but I, and many of my friend, will never buy another Epson product. I'm in the same boat and this sinking *** is no fun - I have the WF-7620 so I went on the higher end side of the capabilities for 11x17 half sized engineering plots. I had a Brother *** out on me before and decide to never recover from a basic paper jam.

This is ridiculous. Does no one make affordable 11x17 printers/scanners that actually last? Tired of the printer revolving door.

I really loved the printer until all of this started over 6 months ago. It actually worked again for a bit - enough to bleed me of new ink purchases then it went back to the 0x9d error.
